Flying from UAE today? Check latest flight delays and cancellations
Several regional routes remain affected as airlines adjust schedules
DUBAI – Travellers flying from the UAE on Friday should check their individual flight details before heading to the airport, with several services showing revised timings and some regional flights cancelled.
Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Zayed International Airport (AUH) remain largely operational, although airlines are continuing to adjust schedules on selected routes. Sharjah International Airport is also seeing changes, particularly on Air Arabia services to destinations in the Gulf and Saudi Arabia.
The latest changes come as regional tensions continue to affect aviation and travel across the Middle East. However, individual flight changes can have different causes, including operational and technical issues, so passengers should rely on their airline for confirmation of the reason for any delay or cancellation.
Dubai departures
Several Emirates and flydubai flights from Dubai were operating with revised departure times in the latest update.
Among Emirates services, EK092 to Milan was revised from 6:25am to 6:56am, while EK539 to Ahmedabad moved from 6:10am to 6:59am. EK086 to Zurich changed from 6:55am to 7:41am and EK132 to Moscow from 7:05am to 8:19am.
flydubai also reported revised timings. FZ446/EK2137 to Mumbai moved from 7:05am to 7:51am, FZ192 to Cairo from 6:25am to 7:58am, FZ980/EK2039 to Yekaterinburg from 7:55am to 8:33am and FZ952/EK2176 to Moscow from 9:05am to 10:12am.
Other revised departures included SG5118 to Kochi, TK762 to Istanbul, DP761 to Makhachkala, IX615 to Tiruchirappally and SG9060 to Mumbai.
Passengers should note that a revised timing does not automatically mean a flight has been classified as delayed. The airline's latest departure information should be treated as the reference point.
flydubai also confirmed the cancellation of FZ815 from Dubai to Abha and FZ816 from Abha to Dubai on September 18.
Abu Dhabi
Travellers departing from Abu Dhabi are also seeing changes across Etihad Airways and Air Arabia services.
Etihad flight EY247 to Ahmedabad was showing a 7:41am departure, compared with the earlier 7:10am timing. EY285/ET4348 to Lahore was listed at 6:35am, compared with 7:25am previously.
EY080 and associated codeshare services to Milan were showing a 6:55am departure instead of 7:51am. EY303/MS8142 to Islamabad was listed at 7:10am, compared with 8am.
Other revised services included 3L128/EY1688 to Kochi at 7:30am, EY233 to Bengaluru at 7am, 3L201/EY1685 to Calicut at 7:50am, 3L134/EY1363 to Thiruvananthapuram at 7:50am and IX971 to Hyderabad at 10:55am, compared with its earlier 2:01pm timing.
Because some of these timings were moved earlier rather than later, travellers should not assume that every change represents a delay. Passengers should check their booking and the airline's latest notification before leaving for AUH.
Air Arabia
Air Arabia is reporting some of the most significant regional changes, with cancellations affecting services from both Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
From Abu Dhabi, 3L020 to Kuwait and the return service 3L021 were cancelled. Flight 3L022 to Kuwait and 3L023 back to Abu Dhabi had not departed in the latest update.
Bahrain services 3L015 and 3L016 had updated flight times, while 3L017 and 3L018 had not yet departed.
At Sharjah, several Saudi Arabian services were cancelled. These included G9195/G9196 to Abha, G9398/G9399 to Jizan and G9191/G9192 to Tabuk. G9187/G9188 to Taif had not departed.
Bahrain services G9107/G9108 were cancelled, while G9101/G9102, G9103/G9104 and G9105/G9106 had not departed.
Kuwait service G9068/G9124 was cancelled, while G9121 had not departed.
Other airlines
The UAE's wider international network remains mixed, with some airlines restoring services while others continue to suspend selected routes.
Turkish Airlines has resumed Dubai and Abu Dhabi services, although flights to Iran remain suspended. Qatar Airways is operating multiple daily flights to Dubai, with Bahrain, Kuwait and Erbil services also resumed.
Air India and Air India Express have restored their GCC networks, with around 780 weekly flights between India and the region. IndiGo is operating selected Middle East services, while flynas has daily services to Dubai, Doha and Bahrain. Jazeera Airways is operating selected Dubai flights.
British Airways has also announced plans to resume its Dubai operation from November 3, initially with one daily London flight before increasing to two daily services.
Suspended routes
Several international carriers continue to suspend UAE services.
Air Canada has suspended Dubai flights until mid-January 2027, while Air France's Dubai suspension runs through September 19. Cathay Pacific has suspended Dubai and Riyadh services through November 30.
Singapore Airlines, ITA Airways, Finnair and AirBaltic have suspended Dubai services until October 24. Philippine Airlines' Manila-Dubai service remains suspended until October 2.
Korean Air's Incheon-Dubai service remains suspended until further notice, while Pegasus services to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are suspended.
Virgin Atlantic's London-Dubai service remains suspended for the foreseeable future. Lufthansa, Eurowings and SWISS have suspended Dubai services through October 24, with Eurowings planning to resume flights from November 1.
What passengers should do
Travellers should check their individual flight shortly before setting out, even when they have already received a booking confirmation.
Passengers should:
- Check the airline's official website or app for the latest timing.
- Allow at least three hours at the airport unless the airline advises otherwise.
- Allow at least four hours when departing Dubai on flydubai.
- Complete online check-in where available.
- Keep their mobile number and contact details updated with the airline.
- Monitor official airline notifications for last-minute changes.
